A collection of the things I do on the side that feed my need to create.

1,000 drawings
in 1,000 days

I challenged myself to do 100 illustrations in 100 days, posting them to Instagram daily, whether I was happy with them or not. The purpose was to be okay sharing something that didn’t feel perfect, or good.

Once I got to 100, I went for 500.

Once I reached 500, I wanted to see if I could do 1000.

AND I DID IT. 🎉
Two-and-a-half years later, I managed to create and post 1000 drawings in 1000 days.

WHAT I LEARNED

I can do hard things.
I can be persistent.
Practicing something every day hones your craft.
If you wait until something is “perfect” to share it, you might never share it at all.

SCREENPRINTING

I took my first class in 2009 from Yoshi Kitai @ PNCA. I was hooked from the first pull. I took the class again, just to have access to a studio. Then I joined BITE Studio for a couple years.

I continue to screenprint for the climate and social movement spaces, including for marches, strikes, and non-violent direct actions.
